My name is John Cleaver. I live in Clayton County in a mortuary on the edge of town.
My name is Mr. Monster. I show dozens of warning signs for serial-killer behavior, and I fantasize about violence and death.
I have a mother and a sister and an aunt. I'm sixteen years old.
I'm more comfortable around corpses than people.
I like reading, cooking, and a girl named Brooke. I want to do what's right, no matter what.
I killed a demon, and every day I feel the need to kill again, like a bottomless pit in the center of my soul.
I want to be a good person.

I was John the Brave, the demon slayer, who saved the kingdom and didn't get any glory; who braved the dungeon and didn't get any treasure; who rescued five princesses and ended up alone.

The Rundown: John is an 18 year old boy who spent roughly two years hunting down and killing a group of beings known as the Withered that have existed for thousands of years, preying on humanity. Sometimes gods, sometimes monsters, these creatures used to be people and their power is directly tied to the sacrifice they made for the abilities and immortality they hold now.
At this point, he lives in a small town called Lewisville, AZ, with a woman named Margo and a dog simply known as Boy Dog. The two of them take care of one another. Sometimes that involves setting things on fire in the desert. Sometimes it involves joining a volunteer committee. Sometimes it just involves being there. Every day is hard, but every day is also good. Sometimes, he's even happy.
...also, John has been diagnosed with an antisocial personality disorder, shows all markers in the Macdonald Triad, and he went after the demons on his hit list in a manner best described as 'serial killer-esq'. Well aware that this is a problem, he does his best to abide by a list of rules he wrote for himself as a child which help him curb his unhealthy desires and obsessions and keep him from hurting living beings through action or inaction. To date, he has never killed a human being except in a very extreme case of self-defense.
Given some of this, please feel free to use the contact post to request that he not tag you. The mun will do her best to cover trigger warnings or address things OOC, but no one should have to deal with things that are Not Fun for them.
